Getting Started — Patients
Account setup, assessments, symptom tracking, and viewing results
Welcome to MetricHealth. You'll use the Metrily app — available for iPhone and Android — to complete assessments, track your symptoms, and follow your progress. This guide walks you through getting set up.
1. Creating Your Account
You'll need an invite code from your clinic to join.
- Download Metrily from the App Store or Google Play
- Open the app and choose to create an account
- Enter the invite code provided by your clinician or clinic
- Enter your email address
- Verify your email using the one-time code sent to your inbox
- Complete the short onboarding questionnaire
Tip: Each invite code is tied to your clinic. Ask your clinic for a new one if yours doesn't work.
2. Signing In
Metrily uses secure, passwordless sign-in by default:
- Enter your email address
- We send a one-time passcode to your inbox
- Enter the code to sign in
Prefer a password? Choose Continue with password to set one up and use it instead.
3. Completing Onboarding
After your first sign-in, you'll answer a short onboarding questionnaire that captures baseline health and background information. Your answers help your clinician tailor the right assessments for you.
4. Completing Assessments
Your clinician assigns questionnaires and tasks on a schedule. They appear on your home screen.
Questionnaires
Sets of questions about your health, behavior, cognition, or daily functioning. Scored automatically when you submit.
Tasks
Guided cognitive or motor activities you complete in the app. Each task includes instructions and, where helpful, a short practice round before you begin.
Scheduling: Assessments may be one-time or recurring (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly). Each has a due date — complete it before it expires.
5. Tracking Your Symptoms
Metrily includes a Symptom Diary for daily logging.
- Open the Symptoms tab
- Choose the symptoms you want to track and answer the daily questions
- Submit your entry
- View your trends to see how your symptoms change over time
Tip: Even a quick daily entry gives your clinician valuable trend data.
6. Viewing Your Results
- Trends — charts showing your scores and symptoms over time
- Assessment history — the assessments you've completed, with dates
- Recommendations — suggested assessments based on your symptoms
7. Managing Your Account
From Settings you can:
- Update your name and email address
- Manage notification and email preferences
- Add or leave a clinic, or add a provider
- Delete your account
If you can't sign in
Use the one-time passcode option, or — if you set up a password — choose Forgot password and follow the reset code emailed to you.
If You're in Crisis
Metrily is not an emergency service and does not provide urgent medical care. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) or a crisis line right away.
Tips for Success
- Complete assessments on time — expired assessments can't be submitted
